An Introduction to Dahle Pencil Sharpeners
If it has been a while since you picked up a pencil and needed to use a pencil sharpener, you’re probably not aware that pencil sharpeners have come a long way. - Lead Pointers. This type of sharpener is meant to be used with 2 millimeter drafting lead. A lead pointer can help you get that perfect, precise point to make your drafting or sketching easier. There are two types of lead pointers available and they both have shavings cups so you can avoid making a mess. These sharpeners are lightweight so you can easily take them along with you, and one of them (model #301) contains an automatic cutting stop mechanism so you don’t whittle your lead away down to nothing. The 301 also comes with two measuring devices to help you with your drafting work.
Gone are the days when using a pencil sharpener meant using a device that either chewed up all the lead in your pencil or standing in line with the other kids to use the classroom’s only sharpener that was screwed to the back wall.
